We had the pleasure of doing an interior repaint on a home located on Eagle Mountain. These clients came to us via a recommendation from our local Benjamin Moore store. They had been in the store to look at some paint samples and had inquired about painters and were given our information.

The homeowners contacted us, and as our company was currently working in the area, I was able to stop in while checking on the progress of our current worksite. The home, or as I would say “the living space with the majestic view of the sunrise” had great potential, but was starving for a fresh new look.  The existing colours throughout the home was very dated, as they were the original colour scheme from when the house was built.   We broke down in detail the scope of work, measured up for the estimate, and the homeowners quickly responded with the agreement to move forward.

Selecting the right colour and sheen was integral, as this particular home had large walls and vast space, that complimented the décor and style. The clients had a potential colour in mind for the walls, hoping that it would compliment the pre-existing trim style and colour.  As for all large jobs of this nature, I suggested prepping and painting a small wall that gave natural light, shade, shadow, and illumination from the pot lights.

BEST. IDEA. EVER!

Fortunately, the clients got to see the chosen colour, and decided “hmmm, yea I’m thinking that’s not going to work out so well”.  Well… time to show how “Painters Mark” does things! We went to work with getting them some preferred samples from our designers, and soon had a colour scheme for their house, along with colours for other rooms within the house.

You’ll see pictures of the job as it progressed. For this particular job, we brought in scaffolding for those high spots, as the great room was 22 feet high. I suggested a color change on a transition strip that separated the lower and upper level of the home, implying that it would give the interior of the home a more seamless look. The homeowners agreed to it and have commented about how much more they love the look of their home just based on that one small change.  Keep is simple.

The timing of this job was particularly interesting, as it was shortly before Christmas and the homeowners were hesitant, and considered waiting till the new year. But we worked with them, clearly communicated our timeline, and they were great to accommodate us and make sure items were cleared in each area that we would be working in that day. We had the house finished and wrapped up in 2 weeks’ time.

The homeowners were thrilled to have their beautifully updated home to enjoy Christmas in and it was a great start for them into the New Year, with the project behind them.

At Painters Mark, we lend ideas, and create solutions and take time to communicate with our clients so they leave feeling informed and satisfied. We’re very thankful as these clients have referred us several times based on their experience.  We’re grateful to have left our mark!
