Chris Buddee started as a simple prep/painter for a large franchise painting company shortly after finishing university in 2012. It was a good job, and he moved up from painter to supervisor to operations manager but, the company focused on entry-level spec homes and residential repaints, and Chris dreamed of more. He wanted to be an artisan, not a production painter. So, he learned everything he could about high-end painting, including cabinet coatings, panel walls, and better, stronger finishes. It was in those late nights of honing his craft that the idea for Painters Mark was born.
We believe in integrity, professionalism, and high-end finishes. We’ve spent thousands of hours learning and developing our own specialized techniques for applying cabinet coatings and high-end finishes to walls and trim. Our stain-grade finishes rival any high-end cabinet companies’ coatings.
Preparation is Key.
We spend more time in prep than almost any painting company we know. It’s the prep that makes the pudding, so to speak.
Most builders/clients don’t understand what that means until we start painting. They ask, “Why are you still sanding?” or “Why are you filling again?”
Later, when the prep is finished and the painting has begun, they say, “Wow, I didn’t know paint could look this nice” or “How did you get that so smooth?”
